  • Built in 1920 as Lydonia by the Consolidated Shipbuilding Co., New York for Cyrus Curtiss of
  • Purchased by the Pan American Aviation Co. and renamed Southern Seas
  • Purchased by the Army in December 1941
  • Acquired by the Navy 23 December 1942 and commissioned USS Southern Seas (PY 32) the same day
  • Sunk 9 October 1945 during Typhoon Louise at Okinawa
  • Struck from the Navy list 24 October 1945.
