PGM-9 Class Motor Gunboat:

  • Laid down 25 October 1943 as PC-1148 by the Defoe Shipbuilding Corp., Bay City, MI
  • Launched 19 December 1943
  • Reclassified as a Motor Gunboat, PGM-16, 16 August 1944
  • Commissioned USS PGM-16, 25 October 1944
  • Present in Tokyo Bay during Japanese surrender ceremony in September 1945
  • Sold 24 November 1947 to Pounds Marine Shipping, Ltd. of Hampshire, England for $37,111.00
  • Sold to Greece and named Anthiploiarhs Laskos (P 33)
  • Scrapped.
