SC-497 Class Submarine Chaser/PGM-1 Class Motor Gunboat: Laid down, 16 July 1942 by the Robinson Marine Construction Co., Benton Harbor, MI; Launched, 17 June 1943; Commissioned USS SC-757, 12 August 1943; Converted to a Motor Gunboat, PGM-2, 10 December 1943; Struck from the Navy Register in June 1946; Sold 20 May 1947 and delivered to the Foreign Liquidation Commission at Subic Bay, Philippines. Fate unknown.
Specifications: Displacement 95 t; Length 110' 10"; Beam 23; Draft 10' 10"; Speed 21 kts.; Complement 28; Armament one 3"/23 dual purpose gun mount, one 40mm gun mount and eight twin .50 cal. machine guns; Propulsion two 1,540bhp General Motors (Electro-Motive Div.) 16-184A diesel engines, two shafts.
