PC-1638 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • PC-1643 was the last of six PCs built for the Turkish Navy by Gunderson Brothers Engineering Corp., Portland, Oregon. She was built in sections and shipped to the Naval Shipyard at Gölcük, Turkey where she was assembled
  • Launched in December 1964
  • Commissioned in July 1965 as TCG Koçhisar (P 116)
  • Fate unknown.

  • Beam 23'
  • Draft 10' 10"
  • Speed 20 kts.
  • Complement 59
  • Armament: One Mk 15 ASW Hedgehog mortar, one 40mm gun mount; three 20mm guns, two rocket launchers, four depth charge projectiles and two depth charge tracks
  • Propulsion: Two Fairbanks-Morse diesel engines, two shafts.
