YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 10 February 1944 by Mojean and Erickson, Tacoma, WA
  • Launched 5 June 1944
  • Completed 24 January 1945
  • Transferred to the Soviet Union 17 May 1945 and reclassified T-525
  • Assigned to the Pacific Fleet 5 June 1945
  • Participated in the Kuril, Japan 18 August - 1 September 1945 landing operation
  • Awarded the Order of the Red Banner 14 September 1945
  • Placed out of service 15 April 1955 and laid up
  • Scrapped 11 July 1956.

  • Draft 8'
  • Speed 15 kts.

  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two 20mm mounts and two depth charge projectors
