  • Laid down 30 May 1942 as YMS-253 by the Weaver Shipyard, Orange, TX
  • Launched 3 July 1943
  • Completed 21 October 1943, transferred to Great Britain and reclassified HMS J-1053
  • Reclassified HMS BYMS-2253
  • Struck from the Navy Register 28 August 1947
  • Transferred to the State Department, Foreign Liquidation Commission in May 1948
  • Fate unknown.

  • Speed 15 kts.
  • Complement 32
  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two 20mm mounts, and two depth charge projectors
