  • Laid down 16 July 1941 by the Wheeler Shipbuilding Corp., Whitestone, Long Island, NY
  • Launched 6 June 1942
  • Completed 3 August 1942
  • Damaged 17 December 1943 by a bomber off New Britian, New Guinea
  • Struck a mine 18 June 1945 at 01°18'S., 116°49'E. off Balikpapan area, Borneo and sunk by U. S. forces the same day.
