YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper: Laid down, 16 March 1942 as YMS-31 by the Greenport Basin & Construction Co., Long Island, NY; Launched, 23 May 1942; Completed, 18 August 1942; Transferred to France, 10 March 1944 as Primevere (D 212); Sold to France, 21 March 1949; Struck from the Naval Register, 28 April 1949; Reclassified D-353, D-10 and M-650, (dates unknown); Primevere decommissioned, 12 June 1962. Fate unknown.
Specifications: Displacement 270 t.; Length 136'; Beam 24' 6"; Draft 8'; Speed 15 kts; Complement 32; Armament one single 3"/50 gun mount, two 20mm, two dcp; Propulsion two General Motors diesel engines, two shafts.
