MSC-323 was built for Saudi Arabia.

MSC-294 Class Coastal Minesweeper:

  • Laid down as MSC-323 by Peterson Builders Inc., Sturgeon Bay, WI
  • Completed in 1978, transferred to Saudi Arabia and named Al Qusimah (MSC 414)
  • Struck from the Naval Register in 1997 and phased out
  • Fate unknown.

  • Displacement 320 t.
  • Length 144'
  • Beam 28'
  • Draft 9'
  • Speed 13 kts.
  • Complement 39
  • Armament: Two 20mm mounts
  • Propulsion: Two General Motors diesel engines, two shafts.
