MSC-285


MSC-285 was built for South Korea.

MSC-268 Class Coastal Minesweeper: Laid down as MSC-285 by the Harbor Boat Building Co., Terminal Island, CA; Completed 14 August 1959 and transferred to South Korea as Goheung [Ko Hung] (MSC 523). Later renumbered MSC 552. Decomissioned 30 December 2000.

Specifications: Displacement 375 t.; Length 144'; Beam 27'; Draft 8' 5"; Speed 14 kts; Complement 39; Armament two 20-mm; Propulsion two General Motors diesel engines, two shafts at 1,200shp.
