  • Built in 1937 as New Conti di Savoia by the Harbor Boat Works, Terminal Island, CA
  • Acquired by the Navy 28 October 1940
  • Converted to a Coastal Minesweeper and placed in service as USS Sanderling (AMc 11), 18 April 1941
  • Placed out of service 18 September 1944
  • Struck from the Navy Register 14 October 1944
  • Transferred to the War Shipping Administration in February 1945 and sold back to her former owner, the New Conti di Savoia Fishing Corp., San Pedro, CA
  • Fate unknown.
