Arcade only served in the Soviet Navy
Admirable Class Minesweeper:

  • Originally planned as Arcade (AMc 120)
  • Reclassified AM-143, 21 February 1942
  • Laid down 8 June 1942 by the Tampa Shipbuilding Co., Tampa, FL
  • Launched 7 December 1942
  • Completed 26 August 1943
  • Transferred 26 September 1943 to the Soviet Union and reclassified T-116
  • Assigned to the Northern Fleet
  • Sank the German Submarine U-362, 5 September 1944
  • Reclassified by U.S. Navy as a Fleet Minesweeper (Steel Hull), MSF-143, 7 February 1955
  • Returned to U.S. Navy custody 11 July 1956 (on paper only) and reclassified as a Torpedo Transport, TB-23
  • Reclassified as a Floating Target, SM-7, 23 October 1962 and used for rocket testing
  • Scrapped 4 May 1963
  • Struck from the Navy Register 1 January 1983.

  • Propulsion: Two 1,710shp ALCO 539 diesel engines, Farrel-Birmingham single reduction gear, two shafts.
