Commanding Officer

Capt. Kenneth Holland enlisted in the United States Navy in June 1987 and was commissioned in April 1999 under the Limited Duty Officer Program and laterally transferred to the Unrestricted Line Community.

Capt. Holland’s at-sea assignments included USS CAVALLA (SSN 684) as Machinery Division LPO, USS EMORY S. LAND (AS 39) as Machinery and Mechanical Repair Production Officer, Electrical and Electronic Production Officer, and the Quality Assurance Officer, USS BUFFALO (SSN 715) as Engineered Refueling Overhaul Coordinator, Quality Assurance Officer, and Safety Officer, USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73) as Chemistry and Radiological Assistant, USS EMORY S. LAND (AS 39) as Production Management Assistant, USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH (CVN 77) as Ship’s Maintenance Manager, and USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74) as Chief Engineer.

Capt. Holland’s shore assignments included to Nuclear Power Training Command, Charleston, S.C. to serve aboard USS SAM RAYBURN (MTS 635) as Leading Crew Chief and Maintenance Planner, Commander Submarine Group SEVEN (CSG7) CTF74/54 as the Material, Quality Assurance, Safety and Diving Officer, Trident Refit Facility, Kings Bay, Ga. as Production Management Assistant and Repair Officer, Trident Refit Facility, Bangor, Wa. as Executive Officer, and Naval Personnel Command as Nuclear & Submarine LDO/CWO Branch Head (PERS-422).
