Hollister 56kThe Hollister was named after three brothers lost in WWII. The first brother, Lyle E. Hollister, Radioman Second Class, served in the Sicilian, Italian and Salerno campaigns. In January 1944, he was reported missing in action when his ship was hit during a bombing attck. Richard and William Hollister enlisted and remained together during their brief but heroic Naval career. In November 1943, their ship was sunk as a result of enemy action in the South Pacific. William died of wounds received in action and Richard was reported missing in action.Wolfgang Hechler
