Abbreviated Log of the USS Sangamon (ACV-26/CVE-26) taken directly from
a copy of the Ship's Log obtained from the Navy Archives.
Sangamon was known as the "Queen of the CVE's".
As she was converted from an oil tanker, her logo was an oil can with wings.
She was "2 in 1".
